Maury and Erika write Bible studies to help men and women strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ through reading and studying God’s Word. They lead weekly in-person groups, with Maury teaching men and Erika teaching women. Erika also teaches women online, at retreats, churches, and other events.
Hundreds of men and women have used their studies, both individually and in groups, taking their next steps in following Jesus Christ through biblically grounded study.
Each lesson follows an expository approach, carefully working through biblical passages in context. Participants read the text, answer questions, and consider what it reveals about God’s character, His works, and His commands. This approach encourages participants to understand and apply God’s Word faithfully.
Maury holds a degree in theology, religious education, and philosophy from Howard Payne University. Erika holds a degree in communication from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. The McCowns have also pursued advanced studies at Southern Evangelical Seminary and proudly reside in the great state of Texas. Outside of ministry and writing, Maury is also the roast master behind Grounded Roasterie, where he roasts small-batch specialty coffee.
